About this place
Saint Francis Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Santa Fe. The cathedral was constructed in the second half of the 19th century. It is built in the Romanesque Revival style and it is a landmark of Santa Fe. Pope Benedict XVI visited the cathedral and elevated it to a basilica in 2005. The basilica has large bronze doors at the entrance. Inside of the church are two other chapels; La Conquistadora Chapel and Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
