Houhai is located to the north of the Forbidden City,it boasts what is probably the most beautiful natural scenery in Beijing.Houhai has a long and distinguished history, as evidenced by the number of important former residences around the lakeside.

During the day,Houhai is peaceful and atmospheric,and the lakeside is a great place with huge number of cafes,bars and restaurants,so it's good to enjoy an afternoon drink there .

At night,besides enjoying the surrounding bars,taking a night boat on the lake will be a good choice.
