Salvo Palace is over 100 meters high building in Montevideo which stands on the intersection of 18 de Julio Avenue and Plaza Independencia. The building designed by an Italian architect Mario Palanti was constructed in 1928 and for several years it was the highest building in South America.
The construction of the building was financed by the brothers Salvo, Jose and Angel, after who the building got the name. Painter, Enrique Albertazzi decorated the building which became one of the recognizable buildings in Montevideo.
