Bell Tower

Bell Tower is located at the end of south-north meridian line in Beijing,which was the old city clock,and first built in Yuan dynasty over 700 years.

Bell Tower was supposed to the morning clock in the past,gave people the right time to get up and go to work.

Even today there is a very old and huge bell in it which is more than 7 m high,and about 63 tons,it's the  oldest and heaviest bell in the world.

Every year we will ring the bell  twice at the midnight  to celebrate the Chinese  solar and lunar new year.
