About this place

Dolores Olmedo House was built in Acapulco. She was a businesswoman, philantropist and musician who appeared on some paintings by Diego Rivera, a famous Mexican artist. Diego Rivera, after eighteen months of hard work, completed the seashell mosaic on the outside of the house. The mosaic represents the Mesoamerican deity –Quetzalcoatl, the god of the Aztecs and Xoloitzcuintle, and Tepezcuincle, the Aztec dog.
