About this place
A 10m (33.8 ft) long statue of Ramesses II was found in 1820 and today it is situated in Memphis. It is believed that Rameses II hired someone to make his statue which was never completed.
This open air museum holds another valuable sculptures which are just few of many that were erected along the Nile.
