Woburn Abbey, near Woburn has been the seat of the Duke of Bedford for nearly 400 years, and today here is also located the Woburn Safari Park. The Abbey was originally a religious house which dates back to the 12th century. It was not until the 17th century when the Abbey became a family house. Here the visitors can see furniture, paintings, ceramics, and porcelain which were used by dukes, other nobilities, and even royalty members who stayed in the Abbey.

The Woburn Safari Park is a place where visitors can enjoy seeing animals in beautiful environment. There are over 80 animal species in the park including giraffes, lions, tigers, and bears.

The Abbey area also includes the Golf Club and the Inn. The area of Woburn Abbey is perfect for learning about the history of England, for walks around its amazing gardens, and animal watching.

The opening hours and fees depend on the season, age of the visitors, and on the type of the activity. The Abbey often organizes some events and offers discounts.
