An Son Temple

An Son Temple is built in 1785 by local residents in honor of the Lady Phi Yen, the wife of King Gia Long. The temple has beautiful history of love, treason, and pride. Encouraged by different circumstances the king thought his wife had intrigued against him, so he wanted to kill her. He held her in prison, and even threw his son to the sea because he wanted to save his mother. Afterwards she succeeded to escape from the prison and went to live with the locals of the village her husband had established. One day she met her husband, and because of that unfortunate encounter she decided to end her life.
