About this place
Phra Prang Sam Yod was originally a Hindu sanctuary which was later converted into a Buddhist temple. This sanctuary shows the influence of the Khmer art, and it is around 1000 years old. The three towers represent the Hindu Trinity: Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer. King Nurai the Great converted the Hindu to the Buddha Temple in the 17th century. Most visitors come here to see many macaque monkeys that go all over the temple waiting to be fed.
