Khao Yai National Park

Khao Yai became the first national park of Thailand in 1962, and it is as well the oldest and largest national park in Thailand. It stretches over four provinces: Nakhan Ratchasima, Nakhan Nayok, Saraburi, and Prachin Buri. The nearest town is Pak Chong.

There exists the possibility to rent a bike, motorcycle, or a car if you do not want to walk. In the park you can see wild elephants, deer, gaur, bears, tigers, leopards, otters, gibbons, macaque monkeys, and hornbills. Its vegetation is divided into five zones. Other than interesting plants, and rich animal life there are spectacular waterfalls.

There is also the possibility to find an accommodation, excellent food, an souvenirs. There are two primary entrances. The northern in Nakhan Ratchasima Province, and southern in Prachin Buri Province.
