Pure Brightness day 清明节

     Tomorrow is a one of the twenty-four solar terms, the Pure Brightness day.

      Normally that is the Tomb Sweeping Festival during ten days before and ten days after the Pure Brightness day.

     People will do a lot of activities during those days,such as,plant trees,outing,and respect to dead person by visiting his or her tomb that is why we call the Tomb Sweeping Festival.

     It is a traditional festival of the Han people but in China there are 24 minorities who celebrate this festival,for example,the Dong people and the Miao people.

There was a famous poet in Tang dynasty , Dumu ,who wrote a famous poem about the Pure Brightness day as the following:

         清明 （唐）杜牧

　　清明时节雨纷纷，

　　路上行人欲断魂。

　　借问酒家何处有？

        牧童遥指杏花村。
