Silk Street lies in Xiushui East Street off Jianguomenwai Street, near US Embassy. It is a good place to buy cheaper goods and the resident foreigners in Beijing come here frequently. Whatever you want to buy, like bags, shoes, handicrafts or sweaters, you can bargain with the owners.
The Xiushui Market provides a wide variety of goods, from souvenirs to branded apparel. As it is an interesting experience and provides a chance to mingle with the locals, I think all foreign visitors to Beijing would be well advised to drop by.
Items bearing labels such as Gap, Timberland and London Fog are genuine, the only difference is that browsers here can haggle prices down. You can buy a sweater for RMB60 or RMB70 (US$7.25 to US$8.50) here, which would cost twice as much in the nearby shopping centers.

Great wall Mutianyu Section
About 1 1/4 hours drive from Beijing, this section of the wall is less touristy than Badaling.If going in the morning you can enjoy a lunch including fresh fish (trout) if you like.

Silk Market is located in the Silk East Street , Beijing Jian Guo Men Wai Avenue, the north side of downtown . It 's the west the diplomatic apartments , east of the East Bridge Road residential buildings , and north of that foreign embassies district .
