The Prince Teng's Pavilion(Teng Wang Ge) lies along the Ganjiang River. It is located on Yanjiang Road of Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi Province.
It is the first of the three famous pavilions in South China since a long time ago. The other two are the Yellow Crane Pavilion and the Yueyang Pavilion.

The Pavilion was built in 659,Tang Dynasty. Later, during the wars of Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, it was destroyed and rebuilt again and again.

The first king of Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang had also had banquet in the tower. During the banquet, he asked his ministers to write and chant poems. The light performance was also an important part of the banquet.

The pavilion we can see today is 57.5 meters high, including the basement, it has nine floors. There is a poet of Tang poet who named Wang Bo worte a famous poem about the Prince Teng's Pavilion which called Teng Wang Ge Xu .
