"Mai Ji" means the wheat straw piles in Chinese.All of grottos were built in the cliff above 20 to 80 meters high of the mountain which looks like two big wheat staw piles.It is in the southeast of Tian Shui city about 30 km.The grottos were built from the later Qin dynasty(384-417AD) to Qing dynasty (1644-1911).They are quite  famous for colourful sculptures,so it got a good name,the eastern sculpture museum.
