Today it possesses seven thousand animals of 600 different species with 30 massive halls. It is indeed a big collection of animals from home and abroad. The animals include the golden monkeys, giraffes, elephants, hippopotamuses, Manchurian tigers, white-lipped deer, yaks from Tibet, enormous sea turtles, polar bears from the North Pole, kangaroos from Australia, and zebras from Africa, which makes it easy to do zoological research.

One of the most appealing parts of the zoo is the panda section. This section requires a separate admission fee of 5 RMB, but do not get away because it is well worth your pay. The lovely pandas can catch your eyeballs totally. The cuddly animals are kept in a large space with ample greenery to make the environment more natural and comfortable for this highly endangered species.
