Tour Description
The tunnels of Cu Chi are an immense network of connecting tunnels which were the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, and were the Viet Cong’s base of operations for the Tết Offensive in 1968. Apart from crawling into the tunnels and experience what it’s like living underground, you will have the chance to see the authentic local life along the way. A combination of culture and history, and an educational and unforgettable experience.

Option: Motorbike/ Private car (We highly recommend the motorbike option, as it is the best way to really feel the energy of this city)
Itinerary:
- Head North-West out of the city. Along the way you will see some amazing countryside, rubber tree plantations, rice fields and the occasional water buffalo.
- Explore the underground labyrinth of tunnels with our guide giving you an in-depth history of the war and the role that these tunnels played. Learn how thousands of guerillas managed to stay underground many days at a time, and their great technique to conceal smoke from their cooking.
- After all that crawling, you’ll appreciate a big traditional Vietnamese meal with a large variety of local dishes such as barbecue steak, barbecued ribs with lemongrass, fresh spring rolls with beef and a variety of mints, and beef hotpot.
