Litchi Bay
This Litchi Bay is actually a small brook that flows to the west of urban Guangzhou. This area used to be a piece of litchi plantation as well as a wetland that people grew all kinds of water plants. Many rich people and high functionaries of the government in the past built their private gardens here and as the city expands, such private gardens were swept away and left here only this brook and the lake by the side. Before the 16th Asian Games hosted in Guangzhou in 2010, the brook, which was then covered and turned into a famous curios market, was uncovered to restore the old scenery.
