Yuling Bridge

Yuling Bridge is 25m long and 2.04m wide (the central section: 7.6m). Though a small bridge, it was also very important between Foshan and Guangzhou. In the Qing Dynasty, this Dachongkou area was already quite prosperous in commerce and culture. Thanks to the bridge that connected Fangcun with Nanhai, over 100 shops that sold meat, medicines and mountain produces were opened here, and those learners who succeeded in the imperial examinations would travel by boat and pass under this bridge. Therefore, the bridge was also called the Dragon Portal.
