The Guangzhou Ring Building
Guangzhou Ring Building stands on the southern tip of the Bai'etan Economic Zone and is a ring-shaped structure designed by an Italian architect. The 33-floor building is 138m high and 146.6m in diameter, with a 47m large whole in the center. Due to its shape, it's nicknamed the copper coin building. It actually means to be a jade ring and when observed from opposite the river, the round building and its reflection in the river should form a figure Eight, which stands for Fortune in the local culture. Somehow, the green jade color was changed to gold, and the whole feeling is lost. Anyway, it's a rather unique building in Guangzhou.
