Guangzhou International Bioisland
Guangzhou International Island was originally named Guanzhou Island, the piece of 1.83sqkm land in the middle of the Pearl River and the home of the rice planting farmers in the south east of Guangzhou City. However, as the city expands and land becomes a crucial factor in generating GDP figures, the island was seized and turned into a biological research and development base. The development work is still under way and it's now a wonderful place for city dwellers to go cycling with their families.
