Pazhou Pagoda

Whampoa Pagoda (Pazhou Pagoda), built in 1600 during the Wanli Reign of the Ming Dynasty, was a 50-odd meters high 17-storey blue brick pagoda located in Pazhou Village on the bank of the Pearl River. It was built for Feng Shui purpose but served also as a light house to guide boats nevigating the river.
