Temple of heaven

The temple of heaven, located at the southern end of the city, is the place where the two generations of Ming and qing emperors worshipped the gods of heaven and earth and prayed to the grain harvest. The temple of heaven includes the circular mound and the altar of prayer. The wall is divided into two layers, which is in a zigzag. The north wall is circular, and the south fence is square with the wall of things. The southern north circle, known as the wall of heaven and earth, symbolizes the ancient "heavenly place". There are no doors on the outer wall, south and north, only two doors to the west - circular mound altar and the altar gate. The inner wall of the inner circle has four doors of east, south, west and north. There was an altar and a fast palace, and there was a wall of things, and the south was circular mound, and north was the altar of prayer.
