Today i guide my singopore customer to zhongda fabric market who is engaged in fashion business.We went through the most famous building called Qingfang Chen. This building is famous for quality fabric and fabric trend. So if you want to find the newest fabric,this is definately the place where you need to visit.Underground floor is for all the accessories like beads buttons badges etc.If you want to find or source lace or embroidery,this is the place where you worth to try the luck.From 2nd to 6th floor,it is for all types of fabric including cotton,lace,jacquard etc.Inside 4th floor and 7th floor,there are many banks ans ATM which is easy for you to withdraw money.
If you get hungry,you better go to 7th floor as it has food plaza.
We spent a whole day to source fabric but it is so huge so we can hardly cover half of them. Anyhow we already got many good fabrics like jacquard,lace,embroidery etc.Also bought many nice accessories like chains etc. Here are some photos to show what we got.
We realize all market people are not able to communicate in english.So if you go to visit Zhongda for sourcing fabric,I advise you to take a local guide or interpreter to accompany you.I am sure it will help you do business in china more smoothly.
Also in market there are some rules,they do allow you to cut few meters or yards if they have stock but price will be sample price(2-5rmb more,some shop add 10rmb/meter more or double the price).
If you order,the price will be cheaper.The price they wrote on swatch is normally the bulk price for order.MOQ is different which range from 100meters or more and it depends on the styles.Besides,in most cases the buyer have to wait at least one hour or next day for what you order from stock.If for order,it takes more time(one week or more)
Anyway because of the market is pretty huge and the market people do not speak English normally,so I would suggest it will be better to have a local guide/translator around so your business will be more smoothly.Plus if you order fabric from different shops,they wont be able to help you delivery or ship out to your countries.So if you can have a reliable assistant/agent in China,that would be so helpful for your business because they can go to check the quality for you,pick up the goods and arrange shipment accordingly when you are back to your country.
