Club 97

Opened in 2008, Club 97 has already changed it's identity several times.  Originally a restaurant/lounge with an outdoor patio, the club is now entirely a nightclub.  It offers live DJs and mucisians, and is pretty popular with foreigners, especially late at night. The location is perfect; it’s at Zhong Shan Square, just 100 meters from the giant statue of Chairman Mao.  If you’re wondering about the significance of the number 97, look to the Chinese name of the club, “中山路97号”(zhōngshānlù jiǔshíqī hào), which is simply the building’s street address.       

Beers cost 30 yuan and up.  Cocktails from 35 yuan *     * *Location: *At Zhong Shan Square [1], on the south side of Zhong Shan Lu, 100 meters west of Chairman Mao. Ask a taxi driver for zhōngshān guǎngchǎng. The club is easy to find because Chairman Mao’s outstretched hand points directly at it. You could also ask for Liaoning Hotel (辽宁宾馆 liáoníng bīnguǎn), the club is on the ground floor of the hotel.
