Xining Nadam Fair
It is a Mongolian annual traditional festival, especially popular in Innner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xining and Xinjiang. This festival is held every golden season, in July and August, with rich rainfall, lush grasslands, flourishing livestock, fine weather and freshh air.
Nadam means "entertainment " or "games" in the Mongolian language. It contains traditional but popular Mongolian sports, such as wrestling , horse racing, archery contests, Blu racing, lassoing horses and Mongalian chess. In some places, some competitive events such as trac and field events, tug-of war, volleyball and basketball matches are also held. During the grand fair, people enjoy performances of martial walking race, as well as a motorcycle race. In the horse-wace event, the participating horses are all well trained and their four hooves are not allowed to leave the ground at the same time during the race .

Archery Contest
this sport features the traditional bow and arrows, primitive dancing and consummate archery skills. Archery contests display the forthright honest and brave characters of the Tibetan and Mongalian people.
