So I am familiar with all places in Zhangjiajie, now I am so glad to share some useful tips about Zhangjiajie National Forest with you.
-----Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is very huge, it will cost you at least 2 days to enjoy the most popular scenic spots, such as Yellow Stone Village, Golden Whip Stream, Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain. The ticket of the park is valid for 3 days, you can enter the park as many times as you want during 3 days, and you need to put your finger print on the ticket before entering, so keep the ticket by yourself and do not mix it with others.
---You can choose to visit Yellow Stone Village and Golden Whip Stream if you like places where are out of tourism groups, 2 ways to reach the Yellow Stone Village: hiking or taking the cablecar. There are a lot of monkeys when you are hiking along the mountain road, be aware of monkeys if you bring some food. Golden Whip Stream is 5.7 kilometers long, 2 hours hiking in the valley.
---I highly recommend Sunrise Tour for you if you like taking photoes and want to experience a different trip experience, you have to stay in a downtown called Dingxiang Rong where is very near to the places for watching the sunrise in the early morning. You have to starte this trip aroud 5：30 am in the next day morning, the place for watching sunrising is called Grand Sightseeing Platform, there is another place called Laowuchang, whcih is a also a good place for the sunrise, but you have to take the bus for 30-40 minutes to arrive there, the bus fee is 100RMB/PAX.
---The places you cannot miss when you are in the park: One Step to the Heaven, Tianbo Fu in Yangjiajie, Shengtang Bay in Tianzi Mountain, all of these places are out of tourism groups and you'd better hire a guide if you want to visit them for there are a lot of ways and very easy to lose your ways.
---The location of the hotels are also very important, there are 3 places you can choose to stay when you are in Zhangjiajie: Zhangjiajie City, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park village, Wulingyuan downtown. Wulingyuan downtown is your first choice when you stay in Zhangjiajie, this downtown offers different types of hotels, home stay, Inns, 3 star hotels, 4 star hotels and 5 star hotels. All hotels are near to scenic spots in Wulingyuan, such as Yellow Dragon Cave, Baofeng Lake, Zhangjiajie Great Canyon, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. You’d better stay in Zhangjiajie City if you want to visit Tianmen Mountain, Tianmen Mountain is located in Zhangjiajie City.
