The new train line to Tibet is open, but train tickets are extremely difficult to buy on your own. This travel agency can arrange a permit for Tibet in 3-4 days (remember that foreigners need another permit besides their initial visa to China to enter Tibet). Be sure to visit the agency as far in advance of your planned trip to Tibet as possible in order to guarantee your plane or train tickets. The staff here speaks English. How to get there: The agency is on Jinxing Lu. It is very close to the new Carrefour downtown by the Women’s Market. The agency is just east of the northern entrance of QingShiQiao Pet and Flower Market. The agency is across from the large Saijia Sunny City Hotel, and underneath the Jinjiang Library and Cafe Del Mar.
