1, Yuexiu Park
It is located in old town of Guangzhou and you can take metro by arriving Yuexiu Park station.It was used to be a mountain but later become a public park which is the biggest one in Guangzhou with combination of activities.Many local old people gather together on weekends to perform themselves by singing songs,dancing and playing instruments.You would love to see this view because it shows part of Guangzhou life/culture.Here is one photo which was taken here to capture this view:
While walking,you will pass many sightseeing places.One of them is called Story palace.You will see many sculpture which made of stone but each sculpture tells us deep story about life.Such as the photo I took,it is a sculpture of a man who play piano,sitting opposite is a cow.It tells us the story that when we talk to someone who do not understand us,it is same as talking to a cow.In this story palace,you will find our Chinese language is so deep and great.We combine four different letters and come in the end of a fable which has story content inside
To be continued,you will see two most famous sightseeing and historic places in Yuexiu park.
One is called Zhenghai Tower(which is 5 floor tower).Now it becomes a musume which displays artwork from old times such as stuff made of stone,jade etc.If you want to see inside,it will cost 10RMB per ticket for entrance.
Another place is called Five Rams Sculpture. It is also the symbol of Guangzhou city(Sheep City).People may wonder why Five Rams?Actually it comes out from a story.Long time ago,Guangzhou people was experiencing hard life and hungry.Someday from sky,it comes out 5 angles riding 5 rams to Guangzhou,each ram is holding one wheat seed in its mouth.Later those angles left but five rams stay and become stones.After that,Guangzhou people start to lead prosperous life. There is lots of people coming over to see the Five Rams(which is like a blessing to Guangzhou)
2, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall
Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is another historic places in Guangzhou. It was built up by a Chinese designer but he was not able to see his work before he died. This memorial hall was built up to memorize our Chinese great person Sun Yat-sen.He was our permanent president before and he did lots of contribution to China development. He was from Zhongshan city,nearby Guangzhou.He was very good leader in revelution,so he got selected as permanent president before.This memorial hall used to be the president house which means the place where he used to work, sign contract with Japanese etc. The palace nowadays become a musume displaying his history,sometimes will have performance held inside.If you need to go inside,also have to pay ticket 10RMB for entrance fee
