Wal-mart

Wal-mart is often packed with customers due to their “天天平价 (tiantian pingjia),” otherwise known as “Everyday Low Prices”.  They sell both food and other everyday items such as kitchen products, alcohol and clothing.  However, do not expect this store to provide you too many desirable foreign products as it is mainly focused on Chinese shoppers.

How to Get There

Many buses stop in Xinjiekou (新街口).  Alternatively, take the subway to Xinjiekou station and walk about 200 meters east on Huaihai Road (淮海路).
