Dialing Telephone Numbers from in Jinan

Telephone numbers in Shandong province usually have 7 digits.  When in Jinan and Qingdao, Shandong's major cities, you must add the number 8 before these 7 numbers.  Otherwise, a recording will tell you that the 7 digit number you have dialed doesn’t exist.
