About this place
If you are travelling in Sichuan province it means you’ve been riding on sweaty, cramped buses and stuffy trains. You have been climbing mountains, riding horses, and hiking through gorgeous nature reserves. Travelling in China can be rigorous and finding an affordable and comfortable place to rest is never easy. When you finally gravitate back to Chengdu to rest or to arrange travel plans, Sim’s Cozy Guesthouse is the ideal spot to do just that. A pleasant mix of outdoor and indoor seating, a rooftop garden, movie room, and a bar offer a number of ways to relax. There is free internet, a restaurant, and the hostel can help you arrange a number of tours throughout Sichuan province and Tibet. Even the street outside the hostel is a classic alleyway with tea drinkers, card players, and the regular hustle and bustle of daily Chinese life. The staff is friendly, the dorms are spacious enough, and you have a variety of accomodations to choose from. While Sim’s is a grea place to relax, the only drawback may be its location a bit northeast of the city center. You will have to take a bus or taxi to get most places in Chengdu except the Wen Shu Monastery.
