About this place
I’m pretty sure no one comes to Shanghai for the skiing. Still, if you are a ski enthusiast, or if rainy weather threatens your plans, the indoor skiing resort offers a rather arcane alternative.
The Shanghai Yinqixing Ski Resort is the biggest indoor resort in Asia. It also contains a bar, restaurant, store, chess room and KTV suite. A full day ticket costs 125 RMB (US$15).
It is advisable to call ahead before setting off. Shuttle buses are available from North Square at the Xinzhuang metro line 1 station. Buses depart every 30 minutes.
