About this place
From the outside the building which houses The Door looks almost Tudor in style with white walls and black beams. However, once you have climbed the mountain of staircases within, you will find a sumptuous bar, dimly lit and Gothic in style. I recommend scoping out a spot on the second floor, as the sofas are perfect for....well....let’s just say ’cuddling’.
Drinks at The Door are expensive. It appears that patrons mostly pay for the decadence. The live music is mostly contemporary Chinese, which is a little shrill for my taste. Still, there is no doubt that The Door is a classy venue, oozing confidence and a clandestine sexuality.
