Moon River Diner is incredibly popular among the foreign community of Shanghai. Offering hearty (and somewhat greasy) American food, both Moon River Diner locales are rarely empty in the evenings. With authentic diner décor and a kids menu with puzzles, its a must for those with little ones in tow. The burgers are highly recommended, as they are cooked to your request, and accompanied by an amazingly thick, “stick to your sides” milkshakes. A great breakfast selection features pancakes, French toast and an all day trucker’s big brekkie. In the Puxi branch, manager Greg is a big hit due his friendly and chatty nature. Sit outside in the summer, and enjoy the thousands of fat alley cats that live there existing on the humor and kindness of animal loving foreigners!!
