The bar is consistently frequented by foreigners, so you shouldn’t ever need to drink alone.

Paulaner Brazilian BBQ is located on the first floor (second if you are Chinese), directly opposite the KFC alongside the Tianyi fountains. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and includes a salad bar with some Chinese dishes. Hordes of meat and some seafood choices are then served on skewers at the table. Lunch is 48 RMB per person, and dinner is 58 RMB. Drinks are also reasonably priced. Some staff members can speak English, so don't worry about ordering if you can't speak Chinese. Paulaner BBQ also offers pleasant live music each night.

Like most Chinese cities, there are a multitude of local buses to take you around town. There are too many local buses to list here, but some general comments are useful. The local buses are generally in good order and repair but tend to be very crowded in peak times.
You need to be careful of your possessions when travelling on a crowded bus, there are plenty of experienced pickpockets around, eager to relieve you of your phone or wallet.
Having said that, foreigners can feel safe in Ningbo from any physical assault or attack. Ningbo is a very safe venue to wander around day or night.
Taxis
There are many different coloured taxis operating in Ningbo, and with the possible exception of the red taxis, most are reasonable and clean. Taxi fares to travel to most places within the main business areas is around 8 to 10 yuan (rmb), and very convenient so long as you are able to tell the driver where you wish to go.
If you are staying at a hotel, get the front desk to write it in Chinese for you and just show it to the taxi driver.
There are also blue taxi trucks available for carrying luggage or large purchases. Flag fall for these is 12 yuan (rmb). They will also pick up without luggage and you could attempt to negotiate the price down. Sometimes they are a godsend particularly in wet weather and the extra charge is more than worthwhile.

Of course, like everywhere in China, bicycles are available for purchase or hire. However, if you a novice to Chinese roads, then rethink this option as you not only have to be careful of vehicular traffic, you need to be on constant watch for other bike riders who seem to believe you do not exist.
Walking
Walking is a good way to get around, particularly from any of the downtown districts. Ningbo can be a relaxing place to walk around, particularly along the many waterways in town. It is also not far to walk between the three main districts for shopping or sightseeing.
