One of their most prized possessions is the world’s oldest fossil flower while their most awe-inspiring item is a fossilized Mamenchisaurus skeleton. Mamenchisaurus is reported to have the longest neck of any land animal that has ever lived.
A downside for foreigners is that almost all signs are only written in Chinese.

How to Get There:
The Museum is right in front of Jiming Temple ( 鸡鸣寺 ) and just off of Beijing Dong Lu (北京东路).
To get there by bus take route 2, 3, 11, 15, 20, 24, 31, 44, 48, 52, 70, 304 or travel 1 to one of the Jiming Temple bus stops. Note that the museum is not right on Beijing Dong Lu, but you actually have to walk about 15 meters north to get there.

Bridge World
Totally unrelated to the theme of the rest of the park, included inside the gardens is a place called 桥世界 (Qiao Shijie) which translates into "Bridge World". It includes a series of obstacle bridges. During weekdays it receives very few visitors, but it is still staffed and well-maintained. There is no additional fee to enter Bridge World, but for an extra 5 yuan you can ride a bamboo raft in the pond.
How to Get There:
Tourist bus #3 (游3) as well as bus numbers 20w and 315w stop at the entrance. Taxis pass by occasionally but are not nearly as plentiful as they are in the city.

On the 55th and 56th floor of the Shangmao building, the rotating Yunzhong Xiaoya Restaurant presents an unbeatable bird’s eye view of the central district of Nanjing.
The menu consists mostly of Cantonese and Huaiyang style cuisine. A simple meal for two should cost about 100 to 200 yuan. On the other hand, somebody could just as easily spend over 200 yuan per person if they were in the mood for seafood or aiming to impress.
Seating on the 55th floor consists of a rotating ring of 2 and 4 seat tables set right next to the window. The 56th floor contains private rooms. As seating is limited on both floors, it is recommended that guests make a reservation in advance. English menus are not available.
The restaurant is on the very top.

Getting To and From the Airport and Nanjing City Center
Nanjing Lukou International Airport is located 35 minutes southeast of Nanjing.
There is a shuttle bus service that runs through the center of the city to and from the airport. Buses depart every half an hour from the Zhongshan Nan Road Keyun Long-Distance Bus Station (中山南路客运站). It is recommended that passengers take a bus from Keyun Station at least 2 hours before boarding time. Call (025) 52480058 or 52480757 for more information, although you will not likely be able to reach somebody that speaks English.
The buses going in to the city stop just outside level 1 of the airport. You can’t miss them. Before 7:00pm shuttles coming in to the city stop at Yuhua Square (雨花广场), Zhonghuamen Long-Distance Bus Station (中华门长途汽车站), Shuiximen (水西门), Hanzhongmen (汉中门), Caochangmen (草场门) and finally Shanghai Road (上海路). After 7:00pm shuttles coming in to the city stop at Yuhua Square (雨花广场), Jinyu Hotel (金宇饭店), Shuiximen (水西门), Hanzhongmen (汉中门), Caochangmen (草场门) and finally Shanghai Road (上海路). The Zhonghuamen stop is within view of a subway station. To get to the subway station walk up the stairs on the north side of the overpasses.
Taxis stop on the first floor of the airport. A taxi fare from the airport to the city center should cost about 135 yuan.
Buses Between the Airport and Other Locations
Changzhou (常州) – A bus leaves once daily at 1:00pm. The final stop is Changzhou Hotel on Yanling Xi Road # 65 (常州大酒点在延陵西路65号). The bus leaves Changzhou Hotel every morning at 7:30am.
Yangzhou (扬州) – Buses leave daily at 12:00pm, 2:30pm and 5:30pm, travel through Yizheng (仪征) and stop at Youhao Huiguan Xice (友好会馆西侧) and Yangzhou Beimen Wai Street # 1 (北门外街1号). Buses leave Beimen Wai Street # 1 at 8:30am, 11:30am and 2:30pm every day.
Zhenjiang (镇江) – Buses leave the airport at 12:00pm and 2:30pm and arrive at Zhenjiang Tiegongshui Union Ticket Office on Zhongshan Dong Road # 288 (铁公水联合售票处在中山东路288号). Buses depart the same ticket office at 9:00am and 2:30pm.
Huai’An (淮安) – Buses leave the airport at 2:50pm and stop at Huaihai Square (淮海广场处). Buses leave Huaihai Square at 8:00am.

The Nanjing Massacre
On the afternoon of December 13th, 1937, the Japanese forces，under the command of Tani Hisao [1882-1947], brought their invasion into Nanjing along three roads leading to Yuhua, Guanghua, and Zhonghua Gates....
On the afternoon of December 13th, 1937, the Japanese forces，under the command of Tani Hisao [1882-1947], brought their invasion into Nanjing along three roads leading to Yuhua, Guanghua, and Zhonghua Gates. Nanjing，the capital of the Republic of China, fell to the Japanese Imperial Army. After entering the city, a group of these brutal soldiers immediately occupied each level of the Nanjing government, in addition to banks and warehouses, while another group, like wild animals, searched out and massacred opponents. The crowds of refugees became the battle targets. In the following six weeks, the Japanese army launched a massacre of unparalleled savagery, which was one of the greatest horrors of the century. According to the records of several welfare organizations which buried the dead bodies after the Massacre, around 300,000 people were brutally slaughtered.
According to historical records, on December 15th, around 2,000 Chinese soldiers and policemen were sent to Hanzhong Gate under escort, strafed dead. And the night on the same day, the Japanese Imperial Army slaughtered 9000 more Nanjing citizens and soldiers. At nightfall on the16th, another 5,000 Chinese soldiers and refugees were shot on the Zhongshan dork and the corpses were disposed of into the Yangtze River, only several of them survived. The Japanese Army didn’t stop raiding their killing objects and on the next day that was on 17th, they shot dead another 3,000 civilians and burned the bodies, some of which were workers from Nanjing Power Company. On the 18th, the Japanese Army tied up more than 57,000 captives with lead wire, drove them to the Straw Sandals Gorge in Xiaguan district, and launched an inhuman atrocity. Using machine guns, rifles, and revolvers, the Japanese soldiers indiscriminately shot at these people. Then they recklessly wailed their long swords upon the surviving ones. After a short while, tens of thousands of people had lost their lives under the murderous blades. Slaughter had no hint to cease in the following days. The roads and alleyways were awash with blood and flesh, and corpses were strewn throughout the streets. A shroud of terror descended upon the entire city.
The Nanjing Massacre is also known as The Rape of Nanjing. Besides brutal killings, over twenty thousand cases of rape were reported during those six weeks. Many of the victims were gang raped and then killed, many of whom are young girls and old women. And the figure did not include those captives who were sent to army brothels (the so-called "comfort stations").

From Nanjing Station it is possible to travel in any direction within China to cities including Beijing, Shangahi, Xi’An and Guangzhou to name a few. Purcashing Tickets
Tickets can be purchased in the main hall in the middle of the first floor of the station. If you’re lucky, you may find a staff member at one ticket booth that can speak English. The ticket booth for the CRH trains is to the East of the main hall which is on the bottom right of the above picture. Tickets can also be purchased at travel agents or Gulou (鼓楼) Post Office for an extra 5 yuan fee.
Getting To and From Nanjing Railway Station
Nanjing Station is located 1 kilometer east of Zhongyang Men (中央门) Long-Distance Bus Station and 3.5 kilometers west of Xinzhuang (新庄) Long-Distance Bus Station.
If you are entering the station from the subway, take exit number 4 which is on the south side of the subway station. When you arrive at Nanjing station, you can go directly to the subway without having to go above ground first. It is fairly easy to take baggage onto the subway, because the train doors are flat and wide. Most subway exits do not have escalators, however, each subway station does have one elevator.
There are two locations to get a taxi: on the 2nd floor outside the station and underground next to the subway station. The taxis underground are for leaving the station only. Please note that if taxi drivers give you a price up-front or try to barter with you then you are probably getting ripped-off. Always use the taxi meter and you will get the standard rate.
There is one local bus station on the west side of Nanjing Station and one on the east side. The west side station has buses that go into the city. The other side has buses heading east into Xianling.
Inside the Station
The station was just finished in 2005 and it shows. The ticket room is spacious and well ventilated and the layout of the station is very convenient. The inside of the 2nd floor is clean, with a high roof and nifty architecture.The signs that help you find your way around the station are labeled in English, but signs that display ticket prices or availability are not in English. Therefore it may be difficult for a person that does not speak Chinese to purchase a ticket.
If you need to put your bags down in a safe place for a few hours, they can be placed in the baggage lockers inside the station. There are also two small stores outside the station on the west side that will watch small items of luggage.
Downstairs there are food vendors, a small convenience store, and a KFC.
The Other Railway Stations in Nanjing
Nanjing West Station is smaller and older in comparison with Nanjing Railway Station. There is no subway access, but it can be reached by bus or taxi easily. Moving around the station, whether you are inside or outside, is quite chaotic like most Chinese train stations. Sometimes it can be difficult to find a taxi from this station as well.
Nanjing South and East Railway Stations receive very little traffic.

Behind the Wall - A cozy atmosphere, decent food, live music and cheap margaritas make Behind the Wall a popular hang-out, especially with the foreign student population. Inside, Behind the Wall’s three rooms are linked by over-sized arched doorways, and provide seating for groups of two to ten. Mexican, Latin and Greek cuisine is served. The drink menu is varied and not too expensive by Nanjing standards - margaritas are served for only 15 Yuan from Sunday to Thursday.
Castle Bar - Castle Bar is lively on weekends and can become packed during special events. However, during weekdays staff members often outnumber customers. A good place if you like dancing.
Secco Restaurant and Bar - Great German restaurant and bar in Nanjing, they have a good rang and selection of cocktail made by a German, he is also the manager there, really strict to every cocktail he made, always bring you the best taste.

City Wall (Admission: 45CNY) - Nanjing City Wall, constructed during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties between 1365 and 1386, originally stretched over 30km which made it the longest city wall in the world. Now, with about two thirds of the wall still intact it still remains the longest city wall in China. We could walk on the city wall and feel the history of Nanjing.

Maybe you don't like all the tourist attractions in the downtown, here would be one of another option.
This tour will be only visit 2 attractions and the rest will be spend the whole time in the hot spring. Or, if you prefer, you can only go for the spring.
Tour plan would be:
Hotel pick up -----> Yangshan Stele -----> Tangshan Ancient Ape Man Caves -----> Hot Spring -----> Send back to hotel.

Since Tangshan is a little town outside of Nanjing city and it`s quite far away, i would suggest to use a private car to drive there directly.
