Bululawang is one of the small village in Malang country side district and has been known for leather crafts. Not only famous for their leather good, this village also has a typical Indonesian village which is quiet, has nice ambiance, a lot of rice filed and fruit plantation around their area.
People of Bululawang are mostly work as farmer and leather craftman. Just like typical of traditional village in Java, they use Javanese language. They also still hold the strong culture such as being polite to elder. You can not call elder people directly by their name, so you need to use “Bapak” or “Ibu” to show respect and politeness. People are usually very friendly and nice. They know and tend to help each other very well.
As a farmer, they use to go to rice field so early in the morning. Thus, they bring their lunch from their home and eat it together with other farmers in a small rest area called “gubug”. It is a small gazebo usually placed in the corner of rice fields, a perfect place to rest.
Since there are a lot of rice field and plantation, they always cook food from the best ingredients. Fresh fruit and vegetables are always easy to find in dining table. The unique thing is, they usually eat together in the floor with the mattress. There will be a lot of food and they will sit on the mattress enjoying their lunch or dinner together with family or friends.
The best way to enjoy this village area is by cycling just like local people. The weather is still clean and fresh without any pollution so it is perfect for you who is tired with chaotic life in the city. You can stop by when you see the local child playing kite and join them. There is also a hidden gem where you can enjoy the fresh water in the spring.

Day 01: ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR AIR PORT – TRANSFER TO TORAJA (B.L.D )
up on arrival at Hasnuddin Air port Makassar, you will meet our tour Guide. Makassar ,capital of Sulawesi Island .this is noisy city, with around two millions of inhabitants in the trade center ,it’s the entrance door to all the island of east Indonesia . Then , we will go by car to the land of the Toraja .During this 7-8 hours journey through the trans Sulawesi road,we will visit the traditional villages of bugis ,who live in all the south of the Island.They known by their abilty to build Phinisi boat and by their houses set on stilt , Lunch will be will be served in Pare- pare at sea view Restaurant .in the last stretch,the gets in to mountain of Sulawesi to leads us to Toraja ,one of the most beautiful regions of the whole archipelago.stop will be made at puncak lawakan for having coffee break while enjoy the spectacular of erotic mountain ,late in the afternoon getting Rantepao ,capital of Toraja,we will go directly to our Hotel . Day 02 : FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR.
During these day s we will take you on a full day Toraja tour.Toraja region is not only privileged for is wonderful landscape ,but for active and strange local culture ,even though now days religion is mostly Christian , The animism is still alive.first we will visit LONDA where we can see the natural cave with hanging grave on the highly rock,sarcofago and bones.LEMO stone grave with Tau – Tau ( wodden statues) on the balcony of grave.KAMBIRA where will explore the extra ordinary baby grave in the living tree.Lunch will be served in the local restaurant , after lunch we will do a short walk through the villages ,passing the ricefield and country side .KE’TE KESU aunthentic village with traditional houses and rice store and handy craff.late in the afternoon back to the hotel for the next over night at hotel ……………………………….. Day 03 :FULL DAY TORAJA TOUR . (B.L.D )
After breakfast , we will take you on another full day toraja tour in north part of toraja and we will visit first TRADITIONAL MARKET,BORI where we can find ancient megalithic stones ,after that we will drive up to the mountain to reach TINIMBAYO hill for the nice view of rice terraced while enjoy local coffe from the farmer.than continue to BATUTUMONGA for the spectacular landscape and country side. Lunch will be served at the local Restaurant.after lunch we will do a short hiking .late in the afternoon back to the hotel for the next over night.
Day 04 :TORAJA - MAKASSAR /TRANSFER BACK TO THE AIRPORT. ( B .L )
Early in the morning after break fast check out from the Hotel and drive back to the airport for 7-8 hours drive, lunch will be served at Kenari bukit indah restaurant .in the afternoon arrive in Makassar onward transfer directly to the airport to catch your flight for your next destination . ……..
