Hangzhou Botanical Garden is spacious but beautiful lyrics maontainrd. There are many places and paths to explore. Early March it is the perfect place to enjoy the varieties of the plums, especially the bright double pink blossoms. There are so many various plants, flowers and trees that people easily forget that they are in the center of a big city.

Prince bay park is located in the southwest corner of the west lake, it is a romantic park with many flowers in it.

From March to May, hundreds of thousands of tulips, cherry blossoms and flowering letter seeds bloom in the park, which is extremely beautiful.

Leifeng pagoda is a symbol of the west lake and was built by the wuyue king 1100 years ago. He buit it to celebrate that one of her wives finally gave birth to his first son.

But people in China know it from a famous love story.The story tells of a young scholar who falls in love with a beautiful woman, unaware that she is a white snake who has taken on human form. But good things don't last long, the snake was captured in the pagoda by a monk.The story has a great influence in peole live near west lake, people begin to take a a brike of the pagoda for good fortune. Finally, the pagoda went down. 

The pogoda you are seeing today is a morden pagoda a rebuid one in 2000. You can still find the remains of the old one inside one.

     Wan Song Academy was established in 1498 . It was one of the highest class academy in ancient China for many hundreds years. Many famous scholars have studied her.  It is the place which "  The Butterfly Lovers Mr Liang Shan Po and Ms Zhu Ying Tai" used to study here for 3 years. From here, people can have a nice view to beautiful West Lake in distance.

First you need to get to the Zoo bus station on Hu-pao Rd.
Second find the main door of Xin-kai-yuan Hotel(新开元酒店正门) which is on the opposite side of the Zoo.
Third face the hotel's main door,you should go to the right-hand road about 10 meters and turn right.
Fourth keep going up till the end of the road you will see a small wooden bridge on your left hand,just go across it,at the right side you will see it.

The Leifeng Pagoda, well known in China, suffered from warring and weathering. It finally collapsed due to disrepair in 1924. The provincial and municipal governments complied with the aspirations of the general public and decided to rebuild it. A new pagoda was built in 2002 on the ruins of the old pagoda. The underground chamber of the pagoda has been uncovered and the treasures are kept in great care.

The scenic area of Leifeng Pagoda located on the Sunset Hill along the south route of West Lake is harmonious with the surroundings. With an area of 120 mu, it is a representative of the new top ten views of West Lake along the south route. The rebuilding of the pagoda resumes the view of Evening Glow over Leifeng Pagoda and One Lake Mirroring Two Pagodas. Its rebuilding satisfies the desire of the local people and enhances the cultural connotation of the West Lake.
