Wuzhen ,one of the most famous ancient watertown near Hangzhou , with a history more than 1000 years, its ancestors can be traced back to 7000 years in the new stone age. With the Beijing-Hangzhou grand canal run through , it is currently diveded into east and west section:

1. East section:basically one waterway, about 400 meters , the houses along the two sides of the streets are the origin of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) . The street on the entrance side has souvenir shops and restaurants and the street on the far side has various museums exhibiting beds, clothes, white-blue printed fabric, etc. There are different kinds of exhibitions showing the ancientway of life in this water town.

2. west section : Large and more spacious than east section, this section was opened to the tourist in 2009.with many traditional architecture: colonnades, small bridges, balconies, piers, wooden windows and doors, and gray stone walls and pavings. Xi Zha has few local residents and is buitl with more hotels ,inns , bars and resturants.

Now what we see this hill is called Feilai Feng,  means a hill fly from other place. According to legend, about 1600 years ago, an Indian monk called Huili came to Hangzhou, and saw this landscapes. Said by surprise:” This is our Indian Tianzhu Lingjiu mountains’ small hill,when did it fly to here? “ Then the hill called Feilai Feng.

Another legend saying: Once under this hill there is a small village. One day a famous monk call Jigong from Tiantai knew that there is a hill will fly to cover this village. People will die in dangerous. Jigong being a monk in Lingying temple,he lived there didn’t obey the discipline of the temple,and like to eat meat dog very much. He has a famous sentence: wine and meat through my belly,Buddha sit in my heart. He like the prophet knew the dangerous in future. He became to think,if he told the people that he knew there is dangerous in this village,no people will believe him. They will not move away from this village. So he need to think out a good method. Then he saw a team of dress up people playing some music and seems the bridegroom was picking up bride to their home. An idea came out to his head. He ran to the people and brought away bride,all the people running after him,some people is shouting,then people who living in the village also came out to catch Jigong. They said monk robbed the bride,it’s crazy,people ran and wanna get the bride back.

Then,all the people came out from the village running after Jigong, Jigong carry the bride and giggle. Then people from this village moved to safe place. Suddenly behind the crowd,a bout of dark clouds coming in sky,”boom”, a hill pressure on the village. From then the hill called Kllip. People afraid the hill will fly away another day to make dangerous to other village,they carved hundred of Buddha on it,means to quell the hill. From that time,the hill never fly away anymore.

Ok,but actually this hill has about 200 million years history. It’s is the limestone,it easily spoiled by water and wind anything,so after long time,this hill formed like this,looks like fly from somewhere. Inside this hill there are a lots of holes,there are many carve art. It is very treasure.

In the south east the hole call Qingling hole,another name is tiger hole. Because of the hole looks like a tiger’s mouse. There are 3 big Buddha in it. In the middle he as the king in Buddhism.

Besides these statue,there are also many jigong tracks. This stone is Jigong bed, he always drinks and eats meat here,after gets stuff,he sleeps on this stone. This is finger mark. of Jigong, he pushed away the stone to save a child and left here. At left is his hat,behind there is a stone table.
