You cannot walk ten steps in Liwan without discovering an old structure or a new restaurant for a good feast.
Many architectural complex, like Old Xiguan Food City, provide an equally unparalleled and flavourful experience. Their dishes are rooted in a venerable culinary tradition unique to the area, one which demonstrates both the ingenuity and spirituality of their ancestors. Meals such as the Pan Tang Wu Xiu, a buttery seafood salad composed of five sacred ingredients, originate in fertility foods believed to speed the birth of son. Besides, the famous Boating Congee, for example, began by turning small, unsalable fish into a rich, creamy stew. Other noted desserts are: egg tarts and ginger-milk pudding, which are both made with yak's milk from a private farm in the suburb; the most popular Dim sum include: dumplings with prawn, rice rolls with either vegetable or pork, glutinous balls made from sweet potato or sweet corn, ect..

Arrive in Guangzhou in the morning, you will be met and transferred to hotel, then visit Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. The Memorial Hall is a very famous historical scenic spot. It is in memory of Sun Yat-sen, the great revolutionary forerunner. After that proceed to visit the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family. It is a unique site for offering up sacrifices to worship ancestors of 72 Chen families in Guangdong. This ancestral temple is also the largest, best preserved and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province.

Day 2 Guanzhou Tour
After breakfast, you will go to Yuexiu Park first, the largest and the most famous park in downtown Guangzhou. There are three artificial lakes and seven hills of Yuexiu Mountain. Then you will visit Temple of Six Banyan Trees, which is one of the four best Buddhist temples in Guangzhou and located on the Liurong Road (meaning the Six Banyan Trees Road). The Nanyue King Tomb Museum is a must-see Guangzhou attraction, which dates back to 2,000 years ago, is the earliest large scale painted stone chamber tomb ever found south of the Five Ridges. Buried with the tomb owner in a jade shroud are a gold seal and a lot of exquisite jade adornments. It has become a world famous museum. After the day tour you will be transferred to airport for your next destination.

Chen clan academy , Built between 1890 and 1894 during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, this ancestral temple is the largest, best preserved and best decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province. After the renovation in 1958, it became the Guangdong Museum of Folk Arts.
Hualin Temple ,the cradle of Buddhism in China, with a long history of more than 1400 years. The main hall with Five-Hundred-Arhat Hall was built in the last year of Emperor Daoguang ( 1821-1861). The statues of the Arhats are lifelike, in different postures and moods.
ShangxiaJiu shopping street ,is located in Liwan Distric of Xiguan ,a prosperous traditional commercial district. This shopping street is about 1km with more than thousand of shops .
Shamian Island ,an elliptic sandbar in the Liwan District of Guangzhou City. It has great historic significance. From the Song and the Qing Dynasty, it served as an important port for Guangzhou's foreign trade. It became a strategic point for city defense during the second Opium Wars (1856-1860), there are 150 western building on the island with church、green way , bars and some good resturants , it is one of the great place for people to have fun .
