From Billy: "Ocean Park recently celebrated their 30th anniversary and they commemorated this by developing and adding many new areas to the park. However, the growth did not stop there and it is already proving to be another fun-filled year at this wonderfully unique theme park. In addition to the various renovations, last year the park added two new restaurants and opened a number of new exhibits and rides. The most prominent of these is the park’s two newest members; Le Le and Ying Ying (two young pandas bestowed as a gift to mark the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong’s being reunited with China last year). They also recently introduced the new Rainforest Exploration; a 600 square-meter plot of wild ’almost-authentic’ forest. The ’rainforest’ is complete with 60 rare exotic animals including bearded dragons, piranhas and a python, to name just a few. Also newly opened is the Sea Jelly Spectacular, a 4,500 square feet aquarium featuring over 1,000 sea jellies, all of which are impressively displayed in glowing psychedelic display tanks. Directly above Sea Jelly Spectacular are the two new restaurants, the Bayview and the Terrace Café. Both offer breathtaking views of the South China Sea with The Terrace Café offering unique alfresco dining and the Bayview specializing in buffet extravaganzas.
