Basic information about me

Jiaqi Zhang, 35 years old; Graduated from the Guilin University of Electronic Technology in 2007; bachelor degree.

Working experiences

I have been working as an interpreter and translator on freelancing basis for 8 years plus 2 years of working as a full-time English teacher for 2 years in a vocational college in Shijiazhuang city in Hebei province.

Besides of translating work, also I do a lot of coordination works for my clients, such as car service, trip arrangement, booking a visit, price negotiation, quality check, containers loading supervision, products sourcing, legal consulting and so on. I travel a lot domestically and internationally. I have been to dozens of cities and towns in China and 9 foreign counties including the US for interpretation works.

My customers are from more than 40 countries with all kinds of industries background, such as animal feed machines, textile, steel, hardware, stone carving, flooring carpets and so on, so I have to push myself to learn various knowledge in different fields to make sure a quality service of interpretation and translation.

Some of my interpretation works in the past:

-  Interpretation in Grasim Company in Bharuch in India for 5 days, help communication about production line upgrading of Viscous staple fiber production line;

-  Interpretation in Sri Lanka for about 3 months, about electricity bicycles/scooters sales business; - Working as interpreter for Belgium client several times every year, several days each time, about activated carbon purchasing and QC ;

-  Interpretation and coordination work for clients from Canada, about the modified off-road vehicle;

-  Julian Skinner, Client from London, about Buddhism, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China;

-  Australian client Justin Bragg, about packaging bags industry, in Shijiazhuang, Hebei; 

-  Translating and jute-yarn sourcing work in Bangladesh for one month for a Chinese client;

-  Working in Zambia as interpreter, about gold mine prospecting; 

-  Exhibition translator, for Chilean winery of Villa Rosa;

-  Exhibition translator, VIV Livestock Equipment Fair; in Beijing

-  Translation and market work in Thailand for one week, about second-hand jute bags/sacks;

-  Translating and marketing work in Kenya for 20 days;

-  Client Mr. Dotan Gilad, about coffee line machinery purchasing;

-  Marketing and translation work in Dhaka, Bangladesh; 

-  Interpreting and sourcing work for American client from Nashville, about cenosphere purchasing;
