Beijing China Guide Terry Like 0

I travel for business with my husband to Beijing this month. After search the internet for the nice guide , I finally decide to choose Terry as so many good review recommended him.
He definitely didn’t disappoint us. Terry is nothing but professional. He arrived at our hostel on time, provided us with stories about Beijing and China as we drove from place to place and ensured that there was always water available for us. He made sure we never over paid for services and booked us great tickets for the acrobatic show. He took us to fantastic local Chinese restaurants, serving local specialties at a very good price. He took us to the antique market (great place to find unique traditional crafts) and made sure we always got a fair price on what we bought.
By the end of our tour, Terry was not only a great guide, we now consider him a personal family friend. I would highly recommend Terry to anyone I know that is going to Beijing, knowing that they will have a great time with Terry as their guide as he did to us. 

Terry is polite and responds to email promptly. He is very careful in making sure we have all his details before the trip. We must have been the most demanding tourists - I practised my lousy mandarin while my wife liked Terry to explain everything in English. Terry scored extremely well. He is very obliging - repeating stories and histories in both languages. We had DK Eyewitness Travel CHINA which was useful for us in Terry's explanation on the history of China and the emperors through the dynasties. We went to Mutianyu Great Wall of China and loved his recommendation for local cuisine at Mr Yang Restaurant. He brought us to a very local shop for their Zhajiangmian which was a fun experience. Terry's service was also very valuable at the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace - he told us stories, histories, the function of the structures etc. Terry provided a lot of insights as a typical Beijinger and his opinions on China's and Beijing's progress. Good job there, Terry!!!

My family and I recently took the private Beijing tour on a weekend. The tour was led by Terry who was an extremely enthusiastic guide, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to all the stories surrounding different sites in Beijing, and Terry kept our interest despite us being difficult (skeptical) customers! I want to list some merits of Terry here:

He provided a very thorough history of the imperial palace and Great Wall as well as other attractions. He was also able to answer all the questions we threw at him
A tour guide that you will actually understand very well with no communication barrier (after taking many tours in China, some time, you get guides that do not speak English very well. It gets disappointing, if you really wanted to know certain facts or have certain explanations)

I received an email promptly within 30 minutes, very impressive. During the tour Terry is flexible and can accommodate to our special need.

This tour is different from other tours in Beijing as you are not encouraged to buy any 'souvenirs' and you feel that it has been thoroughly researched by a team that are passionate about history and storytelling.

My wife and I found Terry on the web. He met us at our hotel and took us on an tour of the city combined with things that were 'off the beaten track'. Terry is knowledgeable, funny, dynamic and understood exactly what we wanted to see. It was great having a local to organize pricing and speaking as English is not very popular in Beijing, not everyone can speak English as fluent as he does.

We did tour of forbidden city,Summer palace and temple of heaven leaving out the national theater and supplementing with authentic local culture tour like the Hutong and Drum tower
We had only arrived to Beijing after a 14 hour flight and commenced the tour two hours later and although tired, Terry managed to keep us interested and engaged.
He was also able to show us areas on a map of greater interest that we wanted to go back to the next day. His knowledge locally and of the history of China was amazing.
This is a great way to see Beijing with Terry, I thoroughly recommend. Thank you Terry for helping us.
 

I was travelling to Beijing for business and had one day free to go and look around in Beijing. Terry is everything I hoped for in a guide. I have had guides in the past who want to take command and run the tour their own way. Terry, by the contrast, has such a sweet and gentle nature and yet such a compelling command with "story and language." He was very flexible in taking us to all the sites that we were interested in, and his knowledge of each was fantastic. I loved the tour and I learnt so much in just one day. Time just ran by too fast. He is a really nice person to spend the day with! I would recommend Terry without hesitation and especially if you have limited free time to explore the city.

I can’t possibly say enough about how great Terry was on our recent visit to Beijing. We had different needs and ideas about what we wanted to experience during our stay and had ages ranging from 4-75 in our group. Terry managed to make everyone happy. He was organized, knowledgeable, patient and helpful, finding incredible places to see, eat . He even took care of logistics including buying our plane tickets . while we were enjoying the sights, He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of each sight/location. I would recommend him enthusiastically!
