Born and raised in Brussels, I have always been passionate about the art and history of Belgium. Pursuing these interests, I studied Art History and Archaeology for more than fifteen years, obtaining multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York. For several years, I researched and taught Art History at the university level in the NYC area (Columbia, NYU, Rutgers). Then, after 10 wonderful years in the USA, I returned to my hometown of Brussels and decided to become a professional tour guide. As an educator with more than 10 years of experience, transmitting and sharing knowledge is what I live for. But I wanted to find a way to bring my passion for teaching outside of the classroom, to reach a more diverse public. Guiding was the answer! Drawing upon my teaching skills, the deep love I have for my home country, and my expertise as an art historian and archaeologist, I am now proud to offer an alternative to the traditional sightseeing tour: I provide guests with high-quality content, while also allowing them to experience Belgium in their own personal way.

Whether you are in Belgium for several days or just a few hours, I'll help you make the best out of your trip. My specialty is to design completely tailor-made programs, to give you a chance to explore the country exactly how you want it. If it is your first time visiting, I'll show you all the must-see attractions, while specifically adjusting the program to your group’s profile. If you are passionate about history or the arts, I'll set the tour up as a walking seminar. If you prefer a more casual type of visit, we can combine the sightseeing with some shopping, local food tasting, etc. If you want to experience Belgium like a true local, I'll take you off the tourist trail. And of course, because the tour is private, you’ll be the ones controlling the pace. You want more explanations about a particular monument, saw a store you would like to visit or want to stop for a coffee break? No problem... With a private guide, you can linger at (or skip through) any place you wish.
