My love for travel, other cultures, helping those in need, compassion and meeting new people led me to start Zak-Expeditions to share and help visitors learn as they explore my home country Uganda. I was born and raised in Mukono, Uganda and I am passionate about sharing the history and culture of my hometown with visitors. I arrange tailor-made tours for groups and individuals in Mukono, Jinja and Kampala (though on case-by-case basis I can arrange tours outside these areas). I offer a safe and family-like environment in which to come to Uganda and enjoy your time. I offer pre-arrival support by answering your questions about Uganda (Mukono, Kampala and Jinja) and if you would also like to combine your travel experience with a volunteer experience- I can help by finding a project that best fits your skills and interests. I offer in-country assistance by collecting you from the airport, arranging the tour-plan, getting you to your placement, and unravelling some of the more complicated cultural issues you face when entering Uganda for the first time. It is not easy to come to a completely foreign culture on your own. I want to be there to give you encouragement, advice, and support in order for you to be most effective while you are here.

I (Isaac) my friends call me “Zak” and the name Zak-Expeditions come from here- extend a warm welcome to you. For those who would like to have a great culture immersion by staying with a local host family, welcome you into my home in Uganda. We are a comfortable Ugandan family home in Mukono district, 5 minutes walk from main road. Really good home, cooking and caring hospitality, well arranged rooms, a sitting room with T.V and Computer for use. The home is positioned on the outcast of Mukono town yet near shops and delicious varied home baking, special diets catered for, Tea and Coffee making and sometimes game facilities. My home is open for travelers, volunteers and tourists all year round, suits all ages.
