Tour Description

Located in the southwest of Antioquia we find these jewels as part of the Towns Heritage Network of Colombia. Jericó, a town of traditions, breathes together with its preserved architecture and friendly locals. Now as a site of pilgrimage to the birthplace of our first colombian saint Mother Laura Montoya, Jericó has to show the world its 17 temples and 22 religious centers. Its iconic item, the typical Carriel, a leather bag with at least 9 hidden pockets is a work of art famous worldwide.

El Jardin, named as “the Most Beautiful Town of Antioquia", was settled when the founders saw the valley full of white Yarumos crossed by two streams, and exclaimed: "This is a garden"!
The town itself, is a garden; unlike cities that are destroyed to make way for "the modern progress" .the main temple is national monument since 1980, and the cobbled stone square was declared national monument in 1985.

After a thourough visit to Jericó, we drive southwest for an hour until we reach in the same evening the town of El Jardín, where you would spend overnight at a comfortable hotel based in one of their typical houses, so with the local bakery for breakfast, we start our visit to this quaint town to merge with its friendly locals living a daily life in a true garden !

After lunch, we may start our return to Medellin and drop you at the hotel by 5pm.
