About this place

The original name of Shenglianshan scenic area was Shengmishitang, and it is one of Beijing's top eight scenic attractions. Atop of the hill, there are several attraction sites, including the well-known Taoist temple, the Pantao Palace, the Buddhist temple--the Shengquan Temple, and villas. Spring water from the naturally formed karst cave--the Shengshui Cave--never ceases to gush out all year round. Half way up the cliff and slope, there is a four-meter-high statue called the Shengmu Statue, which is still well-preserved after some 100 years. Shenglian Mountain is 930 meters above sea level, and is a tourist and sightseeing attraction with both historical and cultural heritages and natural landscapes.
