Beijing Lusongyuan Hotel

Beijing Lusongyuan is one of the most popular of Beijing’s courtyard hotels. It combines old fashioned Beijing architecture and Chinese charm with comfort and facilities.

The location is very central – about one mile from Beihai Park, three from Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The hotel is located down a narrow hutong and surrounded by buildings dating to the time of Kublai Khan (grandson of Ghengis).

The hotel itself, built by a Mongol general in the Qing dynasty, consists of five interconnected courtyards, ideal locations for a quiet game of Chinese chess, you can also sometimes watch Beijing Opera, learn tai chi, or check out the hotel tea house (there’s nothing more Chinese). Staff mostly speak very good English.
