About this place
Yuetan Park is located west of the Nan Li Shi Lu, Xicheng District. It was built in 1530 as a place for the emperors to worship the god of the moon and other stars. It is divided into two parts, the south park and the north park, with a total area of 8.12 hectares. The north park is mainly occupied by old architectures, while the south park is mainly taken up by ponds, rocks, and man-made hills. There are a lot of trees in Yuetan Park, such as pines, cypresses, phoenix trees, pomegranate trees, osmanthus trees and etc.
