The Badaling Remnant Great Wall natural scenic spot is located 5 kilometers southwest away from The Great Wall at Badaling scenic spot.Here between rugged mountains and deep gullies ,the Great Wall's battlement closes connect with each other and its piers face its forts.Because saved originally, although incomplete, drones still dwells and the crumbling bricks, positioned in its "residual" .  The Remnant Great Wall is the witness of history.1644,the Ming Dynasty chongzhen 17th year,Li Zicheng established "Dashun" regime in Xi'an,he in person with a great army went on a punitive expeditionto the east,entered Shanxi province across the Yellow River,then passed Datong and conquered XuanFu,marched into until the army were in front of the impregnable pass-Badaling. Warriors risked their lives to rush and a large number of them died,even though they failed to capture it.Li Zicheng was sufferring great agonies of the mind until he took a local old man's advice and long-range raided Shixia shut.Tang Ying,the defence general of Badaling fell into the trap and left Badaling pass.Li Zicheng seized the chance to break trough and lead his troops near Beijing city.Posterities forms this historical event into an Peking opera named "Three Doubts Counts", which was widely circulated.The Badaling Remnant Great Wall natural scenic spot not only witnessed this significant historical event,but also witnessed the constructing of the military defence which has the vastest scale in the human history.  The Badaling Remnant Great Wall natural scenic spot not only has the ancient culture incomplete beauty,its natural landscape and the environment is more beautiful.A Chinese poem goes like this"a long time ago in this very mountain,on ancient Great Wall warriors' helmets red without stain,nowadays punitive expedition can no longer be seen,but easterly from nature still remain "Natural scene of The Badaling Remnant Great Wall natural scenic spot is infinite:in every spring "almond flowers slope"laden with flowers,brimming with silver waves and pink waves;in each summer "Wattle flower Valley"becomes an ocean of blue flowers, intermittent waves surging along with occasional breezes;and so on.They surround the remnant of the great wall and they are guarding the remnant of the great wall!
